The article introduces the DIAGORAS project through one of its major aims : defeating antimicrobial resistance. Indeed, it highlights the fact that antibiotics are often overprescribed by general practioners as a mean for prevention, even in the case of viral infections for which they are not effective.
The DIAGORAS project addresses this issue by developing a rapid diagnostic device able to individually measure the resistance to antimicrobials, allowing the doctors to prescribe targeted and coherent antibiotics.
